I have to wonder how VW gets this honor? Being in the parts biz I know a thing or two about the reliability of vehicals. VW has had more problems than they will ever admit. The series 3 Jetta/Golf had several major issues. The new series 4 had most of the same issues. Window regulators, Clutch, Air Mass Meters....the list goes on.
At least the Japanies Auto makers will admit there are problems.

Vw diesel cars are great, but always have trouble with dealers, they back theire sellers,NOT the customers.I could not get a courtesy car even though I had work done on warranty over 3 days on two occasions, reason : I bought a $ 17,000.00 SECOND HAND carin Sherbrooke QC.Left me with a real bad taste in my mouth. Why would you buy a VW if it is NOT diesel ?
