Whether you're a fan of or participant in car racing in Canada, the Canadian Motorsport Expo in Toronto is a must-attend event on your schedule. Like PRI show in Indianapolis or the Autosport International Show in the UK, the CME has its focus firmly on, well, Canadian motorsports.

The CME, now in its seventh year, brings together the teams, sanctioning bodies, race series, car builders, promotions people, tracks, tool and equipment suppliers, trailer shops, and throws them all under one roof for a three-day event that lets everyone celebrate and appreciate the sport.

This year, along with having one of the next-generation NASCAR Sprint Cup racecars on hand, two-time Daytona 500 winner and NASCAR team owner Michael Waltrip will be making an appearance during the show. He'll participate in both an autograph session and an on-stage Q&A during on Saturday, February 9.

The whole show runs from Feb. 8-10 at the International Centre in Toronto, which is close to Pearson Int'l Airport. Whether you're a fan of stock car racing, road racing, drag racing, or prefer two-wheels to four, the CME promises that you'll find something to keep you interested.

About the Authors

Justin Couture Justin Couture

Reportedly, the first word to come out of his mouth was "car," and since then it's evolved into a life-long passion. Justin is a fan of passionately engineered vehicles, but in general, loves the industry as much as the cars it produces. Justin is the Assistant Editor of MSN Autos, and manages The Passing Lane.

Mark Atkinson Mark Atkinson

Mark has a decade’s experience driving and writing about thousands of vehicles, and two decades before as an inveterate car nut and race fan. He’s also a first-time father, so you’ll need to excuse the occasional half-awake daddy rant about how his daughter’s car-seat won’t fit.

John LeBlanc John LeBlanc

After a career in advertising and marketing, John decided to turn his jaundiced eye towards the world of cars. Since then, he's become one of Canada's most vociferous critics of the industry, delivering objective analysis of the new car scene.
